Mother is one of the people who have helped shape us the most.

Mother's Day is an opportunity to celebrate the women in our lives who have (perhaps) most helped make us who we are today. Without mothers, we wouldn't be here.

 

We are both mothers with a capital M here at NORDBAEK.

 

Ida has two children. Her daughter, Regitze, has just started high school together with Barbara's stepdaughter, Kaya. Ida also has a lovely son, Christoffer, who loves playing basketball.

 

Barbara has five children; besides Kaya, she has Matt, who is about to finish 9th grade of primary school together with her stepson, Storm. Barbara also has a daughter, Camille, who loves playing tennis with her friends. Celine is her youngest daughter, 10 years old, who loves animals and being outdoors in nature.

 

We know—if anyone does—that Mother is the best in the world—and also sometimes the very worst in the world, if you ask some of our sweet, stubborn, and self-absorbed teenagers ;)

As mothers, we also know we would go to the ends of the earth for them all at any time. And we actually think that sometimes we do.

 

Mother's Day is the day of the year when we pause and appreciate everything Mother has done for us over the years. Whether we are 10 or 70.

 

We have discussed that mothers are actually superheroes.

 

We've collected a few proofs that your Mother almost has supernatural powers:

 

1. Without mothers – no life

It is a fact that without mothers there would be no life on this earth. Mothers play a crucial role in giving life and ensuring their offspring survive and thrive. Without mothers, many species would simply not exist. Mothers carry their child in the womb and play a vital role in the early years by providing nutrients essential for the child's survival and growth. Mothers are by their child's side when they begin their journey through life.

 

2. Mothers have eyes in the back of their heads

How is it that mothers always know what's going on, even when we try to hide it? It's because mothers have eyes in the back of their heads. They can see through lies and they always know where something is when you can't find it yourself.

 

3. Mothers are the world's best multitaskers

Mothers can do many things at once. She can cook, tidy up, hold the baby on her left arm while stirring the pot with her right, help the older child with homework, remember to pick up the child who is at sports at the right time, lay out the swim gear for tomorrow, and remember that the little one has a trip the day after tomorrow.

 

4. Mothers can save the day

Mothers have the ability to read their children's needs almost before they arise. Mothers can handle any situation and challenge and never give up. They can mend a broken heart or put a little magic on a scraped knee. They can overcome any obstacle. And, in a wonderful way, they can always find the thing that no one else in the house can find.

5. Mothers can juggle many roles

Mothers are not just mothers. They are also wives, partners, sisters, daughters, friends, and career women. They are able to juggle all these roles at the same time while still giving love and attention to their family.

 

6. Mothers have an endless supply of love

Mothers have endless love for their children. It is called unconditional love. No matter how much you have messed up, your Mother will love you and stand by your side. She will always be there for you through thick and thin. She is always just around the corner if you reach out and ask for her help.
