WASHING INSTRUCTIONS & GOOD ADVICE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR NORDBAEK
We have designed all our products in NORDBAEK in a timeless design and with high quality, so you can keep your NORDBAEK for many years.
To us, good quality also means taking good care of your things. That's why we've made this little guide for you.
COTTON PRODUCTS: HAMAM TOWELS & SPA ROBES
We recommend that you treat your Nordic hamam towel or spa robe as follows: Always wash cotton before use. It becomes softer after a gentle wash and absorbs better.
You can optionally soak the towel in cold water in a basin for a few hours before washing it — this will give a soft and absorbent result.
Wash it at 30° with a low spin and as little detergent as possible for the sake of the environment. Hang the towel to dry on a bar so it will be ready to use quickly.
Alternatively, you can tumble-dry the hamam towel for 5 minutes and then take it out and hang it up — this saves both energy and the towel while still giving the same soft cotton and a lovely result.
QUILT-ROBES
All our products can be washed. But if it's only a small stain, it can be easily removed on all products with a cloth and a little mild soap — that way you save a wash if the product was otherwise clean.
In general, we recommend that you use as little detergent and as low temperatures as possible, as otherwise it will unnecessarily wear on the clothing/equipment.
Therefore we recommend that you wash your products, when needed, in the following way:
Your NORDAEK robe or quilted jumpsuit can be washed at 30° with a low spin and as little detergent as possible to preserve both the robe and the environment.
Then hang your robe to dry on a hanger or over a bar/line. Hang it inside out if you like; it will dry faster and be ready for the next day's swim.
THE WATER SHOES & NEOPRENE GLOVES
Your NORDBAEK water shoes and neoprene gloves can be rinsed in fresh water occasionally and left to air dry. Never place them on a heater or similar heat source.
If you feel they need a little soap, you can either briefly soak them in Rodalon and then wash them by hand with mild soap — or buy a special type of soap called "wetsuit soap" / "neoprene soap" to wash them with. Do not machine wash them.
Our products are made from recycled materials and oeko-tex, and can last for many years when well cared for.

A fun anecdote: Some of our very first customers are still walking around in the NORDBAEK robe they bought at Christmas 2017 and it is still warm and windproof. We are quite proud of that.
Please feel free to write to us if you have any other specific questions. Write to help@nordbaek.com :)
Enjoy your swim and have fun :)
