At NORDBAEK we love all our products, and – like with children – it’s impossible for us to pick a favorite. That said, all our products are made for different purposes, needs and preferences with different types of customers in mind.
And it’s precisely our lovely customers, and especially our communication with you, that we are particularly grateful for, and we receive many great questions from you daily about our products - but there is one question that keeps coming up: should I choose a terry or fleece bathrobe?
Whether you prefer one type over the other is a very individual matter. That’s why we’ve decided to make it even easier for you to choose the exact NORDBAEK product that suits you and your lifestyle best. Read on below :)
FLEECE
Our women’s fleece robes are available in 6 beautiful colours & our men’s fleece robes are available in 2 dark colours.

In short, the fleece robe is made for anyone who wants to stay warm for longer after you’ve dried your body with a towel – fleece does not absorb water. That also means that with a fleece robe you can comfortably carry a thermos under your arm, because the robe’s windproof shell combined with the silky-soft fleece lining will keep you warm for hours and extend the fresh feeling you get after winter swimming.
The biggest advantage of fleece: Our NORDBAEK fleece robe keeps you warm even long after you’ve come out of the cold water – just remember to bring a towel so you can dry off before putting the robe on :)
Also think about which material you like against your skin. You might know the synthetic material fleece from other clothing. It’s soft and feels warm and insulating.
The fleece robe weighs about 150 grams less than the terry robe, and can therefore be easier to carry in your bag.

Our OEKO-TEX terry bathrobe works exactly like a soft towel that wraps your body and absorbs the water from your skin, so even on cold and windy days you’ll quickly be dry and warm again. That means terry is the best choice for you if you prefer to jump in and hop straight into the bathrobe afterwards. If you plan to sit and enjoy a warm drink when your swim is over, be aware that the robe will feel a bit damp from having absorbed the droplets from your skin. The terry robe weighs a little more than the fleece robe - only about 150 grams. For many, a slightly heavier robe feels reassuring and enveloping.
The biggest advantage of terry: You don’t need to bring a towel – our soft, water-absorbing and windproof terry bathrobe is all you need for your quick morning dip.
Also consider which material you like against your skin. You already know cotton terry from your towels. Terry is a natural material and in our robes it is OEKO-TEX cotton. It’s soft and gentle on the skin.
Terry is also commonly called towel fabric in everyday speech. The terry robe weighs about 100–150 grams more than the fleece robe.
