Put your footwear on – protect your feet.
Feet are often the most exposed parts of the body when winter swimming, and you probably know the sharp, prickly sensation — or the lack of it — during and especially after a dip. In addition, your favorite bathing spot may have slippery stones or less-than-pleasant ground on the beach, lakeshore, or bathing jetty. Water shoes or swim shoes are therefore a great piece of winter-swimming gear to add to your swim bag for a better bathing experience. Many even feel they can stay longer in the cold water with water shoes, as they help retain body heat to some extent.

When choosing footwear for your trip to the sea or lake, whether you opt for water shoes or swim socks, make sure to pick a size that fits snugly around your feet to get the best possible effect from the above.
Our NORDBAEK shoes are thinner than, for example, neoprene shoes so they can be put on and taken off easily and dry quickly. That way they’re ready for another dip in the sea the next day!
