Taking good care of your hands is essential for your overall health and your daily well-being throughout your life.
THE HANDS ARE ALSO CALLED THE BODY'S MIRROR
Our hands tell a story about the person they belong to and work for - from the small, cute chubby baby hands to old, gnarled, worn hands, and we believe both carry their own beauty.

Have you ever thought that our hands are one of the hardest-working parts of our body?
They are constantly exposed to various elements and activities such as getting cold, writing, gripping, opening/closing, cooking, eating, drinking, washing, carrying, and so on. So take good care of your hands throughout your life.
As long as we have healthy, strong, and flexible hands, we hardly think about them. Hands are nothing less than an ingenious construction, as they can perform both fine motor tasks and coarse tasks that require great strength.
We often overlook the importance of taking good care of our hands. As mentioned, they are one of our most used body parts, and yet they are often neglected.
A LITTLE ABOUT THE HANDS
We have looked a bit at why it is important to take good care of our hands and we offer here some tips to maintain healthy, strong, and flexible hands.
The versatility of our hands makes them indispensable, so it is crucial to ensure they remain in good shape.
Here are some concrete things you can do to take good care of your hands:
- Moisturizer after handwashing - this is especially good advice in winter so the skin stays soft and elastic, and to avoid dryness and cracks
- Stretch your hands out - it is also healthy to do small stretching exercises with your hands from time to time - or massage them to increase blood circulation and improve hand mobility, as well as to prevent tension
- Protection: From wind and weather: Use mittens or gloves when it is cold so the hands do not become stiff from the cold. Also use gloves at home, e.g., when cleaning - then use cleaning gloves so the skin of the hands is protected from harsh cleaners. Sun protection: You might not think much about it, but hands also benefit from sunscreen to reduce pigmentation changes and skin aging
- Nutrition and hydration: The skin on the hands also benefits from us getting enough water - it promotes skin health - including on the hands
- Protection in cold water: It can be hard to regain warmth - especially in the fingertips - when bathing in cold water. Some winter swimmers get their hands so cold that it shortens their dip in the cold thrill. Others have the harmless but painful condition "Raynaud's syndrome" which causes the fingertips to turn completely white when bathing in cold water. Neoprene bathing gloves can help both issues and make the dip an even better experience.

By taking these steps you can improve your hand health and keep them strong, beautiful, and flexible for years to come.
It's about looking after them and protecting them from the factors that can cause damage over time. So let's not forget to give our hands the attention they deserve.

NORDBAEKs NEOPRENE GLOVES
We have listened to you, winter swimmers, asking for bathing gloves/mitts that are designed specifically for winter swimming - and not for kayaking, surfing, or gardening.
We have therefore carefully designed two different products for your hands: a winter bathing glove with five fingers and a winter bathing mitt with two fingers.
Our new unisex bathing gloves are both designed so you can take good care of your hands by protecting them from the icy water, allowing you to still enjoy your daily cold dips without compromising your hand health or how long you want to stay in the water.
We designed them the way we think they are the BEST for winter swimming: very easy to put on and take off, soft 3 mm neoprene, and quick-drying.
